Last 28th and 29th of September the 4th transnational meeting of the project took place, hosted by the partner OIST in the city of Zagreb.
During the meeting in Zagreb, issues related to the current progress of the project, the next steps to be taken and the quality of the results, as well as the development of the deliverables, were analyzed. Specifically, the main topics discussed were the finalization of the guide on how to train parents and legal guardians of ageing adults with disabilities, the development of educational video for families and the design a HUB to serve as a medium for these materials, as well as questionnaires and information of interest.
Currently the consortium has already developed the first deliverable which is a support toolkit for parents, relatives and legal guardians of older adults with intellectual disabilities. On the other hand, the guidebook for families is being finalized and will be translated in the following weeks into the languages of each country to ensure its accessibility and usefulness for a wider audience, but first, the consortium analyzed the feedback received from the advisory board of each organization, to meet the needs of the target group and the specific criteria.
After this meeting, the partners will continue to work on the remaining materials to be developed, such as educational videos for families and the policy recommendation report. The videos will be available soon on the HUB, while the policy recommendation will be focused on the problem-solving process related to services provided for ageing adults with disabilities.
The two days of discussions and collaboration were also instrumental in planning the dissemination events to be held in each country as part of the final steps of the project to disseminate the results obtained. In fact, partners will meet again in January for the final conference and last meeting in Warsaw!
